Information for Buyers: Getting Organized

Searching for homes can become confusing and sometimes overwhelming for many buyers.  The homes start to run together and you may have trouble remembering features from homes that you liked from homes that you didn’t.
As you begin your home search your agent will probably give you information sheets on the homes that you will be visiting.  After you have been through a home it is a good idea to make notes on the information sheet on things you like about a home and things that you didn’t like.
Maybe the home had a large comfortable living room, or there could be distinctive landscaping.
If a particular home was interesting, put a star at the top of the information sheet.  You may wish to go back to this home or possibly make an offer.
If there are features for which you have a strong preference or if it is a home you wish to eliminate for any reason, be sure to tell your agent why.  Communication between you and your agent is key.  This will save you a lot of time and effort and it will help your agent focus on your particular needs.
