Information for Buyers: Questions from Real Estate Agents
When you first meet with your real estate agent the agent will be asking a number of questions. Your answers to the questions will help the agent get a clear idea about your housing needs. You may feel a little uncomfortable initially, because some of the questions will be about your personal and financial position.
It is important that your agent knows how much you can afford so that he does not waste your time showing you homes that are out of your price range and it can also be disappointing to find a home you would like and later find out you wouldn’t qualify for the loan that would be required to buy it.
In order to do a great job finding you a home the agent needs to have some basic information on your income and debts and the amount of cash you have for a purchase.
They also need to know something about your lifestyle, how large your family is, where you work, do you have school age children, and what are your hobbies.
The real estate agent who helps you find a new home will get to know you very well so it is important that you feel comfortable with that person and communicate freely.
